Making a gift to Missoula Interfaith Collaborative (MIC) in the form of stock or mutual funds allows you to have an immediate impact on our work in the Missoula community, while also possibly paying less in income taxes.

 

As always, we recommend that you consult a tax professional with any specific questions. 

Please follow the steps below in making a gift of publicly traded stocks or mutual funds. 


STOCKS OR MUTUAL FUNDS DONATION INSTRUCTIONS 

  1. If you have questions about donating securities to MIC, please call Rebecca at 406-207-8228 or email her at rebecca@micmt.org. We will answer all your questions and take your information over the phone.

     

  2. Please provide your broker with the following information:

Name of Broker: RBC Capital Markets

Account: 84003579 

Tax ID: 46-3396495 

 

3. When your stock or mutual funds are transferred to our account we do not receive any information that identifies you as the donor. We wish to ensure all gifts are properly received and acknowledged, so please email rebecca@micmt.org or call 406-207-8228 either before or after donating securities and provide the following information about the gift: 

  1. Name of the stock
  2. Number of shares
  3. Your name and address
